going on 64, should i stop being a boy. i mourn for friends who’ve become what they pretend is adult ; please–denounce imagination & curiousity & call it maturity. i survive ; eye surgery, no anesthesia but drops in the eye, truely amazing. had the best parents, they watched but didn’t let me know–i knew. i took advantage of them–they knew. friends wished they had my folks–i never wished for theirs–they saved my ass…
